Previous model Stepwagons can make great little campers. With the right options they go into dinette mode. If they have a "Butterfly" centre seat row
the seat folds flat, and has a hard table surface on the back. The auxilliary seat by the door also has a seat back table with cup holders. If optional
rotating front seats are also included, five persons can sit round a coffee table. The additional Honda option of a "Built-in Table" provides a full-sized
motorcaravan style dining table. It is stored flat against the back of the centre seat row, is very robust and stable, and is quickly and easily erected.
If you want a Stepwagon dinervan/sleeper van, the most important point is to buy a van that has the "Butterfly" centre seat row - the type with a two person bench
plus a small folding auxillary seat by the side door. New shaped current model vans (from 2005) do not have sleeper mode or diner mode options.
